The ever-growing nature of B2B email marketingcontinues to be a dominant force in the industry but companies must not forget the merits of direct mail campaigns.

While opt-in email marketing is often seen as one of the cheapest options available to people, direct mail can also be very inexpensive when trying to get leads.

It is also still a very effective form of marketing. Indeed, the recent Direct Marketing Association’s 2012 Response Rate Report found that subscribers are more likely to respond to direct mail than email content.

Writing in Business2Community, 121 Direct Marketing’s Matt Ford said marketers can use direct mail to help crunch their budget while at the same time wanting to gain more business leads.
